Chivas were the very first Concacaf club champions in 1962 and then claimed their second title in 2018.
The Guadalajara-based club return to the Concacaf Champions Cup for the first time since their last title conquest in 2018 after qualifying as 2023 Liga MX Clausura runners-up. They will start in Round One. Chivas also enjoyed successful campaigns in the 1963, 1984 and 2007 editions when they finished as runners-up.
This will be the ninth appearance for Chivas in the Champions Cup and they boast an overall record of 20W-9D-6L, with 64 goals scored and 25 conceded. During Chivas’ title-winning campaign in 2018, Rodolfo Pizarro earned the Best Young Player award, while GK Rodolfo Cota took home the Golden Glove Award.
