One of 10 founding members of Major League Soccer, the LA Galaxy is the most decorated club in league history. The Galaxy has won five MLS Cup titles, including the 2014 championship, four Supporters Shields, two U.S. Open Cup crowns and is one of just two MLS teams to capture the CONCACAF Champions Cup, defeating Olimpia (3-2) in the 2000 final. LA is competing in the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League for the fifth time, last appearing in 2013/14. The Galaxy’s best appearance was in 2012/13, when it reached the semifinals, before falling to eventual-champion Monterrey (agg: 3-1). True to the team’s nickname, the Galaxy’s current roster is a star-studded one that includes Ireland international Robbie Keane, Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, Mexico superstar Giovani dos Santos, as well as rising United States youngster Gyasi Zardes. Past LA standouts include David Beckham, Mauricio Cienfuegos, Jorge Campos, Landon Donovan, Cobi Jones and Carlos Ruiz.
