Haiti’s commitment to growing women’s football continues to yield impressive results. It earned a place in the 2015 CONCACAF Under-20 Women’s Championship by capturing the 2015 Caribbean title with a 2-0 win Jamaica in the regional final on October 23. Batcheba Louis (19’) and Kensia Destinvil (61’) struck for the goals in a winning effort. Louis is also the only player to ever score for Haiti in the CONCACAF Under-17 Women’s Championship (six all-time games), netting in a 1-1 draw against Mexico on October 30, 2013.
In qualifying, the Haitians posted a 3W-0D-1L record, scoring 12 goals and conceding three. Nerilla Mondesir notched a team-best four goals, including three in an 8-0 win over Bermuda.
Haiti’s only win in six all-time CONCACAF Under-20 Women’s Championship outings came against Suriname, 2-1, on May 11, 2002.
