Returning for a third straight time, Jamaica is seeking improvement from its previous two group-stage exits. It allowed only one goal in five Caribbean qualifying matches, when it won four games by a combined 19-0. Jamaica has only one victory in six previous games at the CONCACAF U-17 women's finals, 2-0 in 2010 over Panama, which it will face again in Group A. The roster includes 15-year-old midfielder Khadija Shaw, who played seven games with Jamaica's U-20 women's side including twice in March's CONCACAF finals, and forward Nicole Broderick and midfielder Shantel Bailey. Broderick and Bailey, who accounted for nine of Jamaica's goals in qualifying, also have played with Jamaica's U-20 side, but were not members of the team that played in March.
