Trinidad & Tobago was clearly the class of the Caribbean qualifying, winning all seven games without allowing a goal and outscoring its opponents 58-0. The most competitive matches were against fellow Caribbean qualifiers Bahamas (3-0) and Jamaica (1-0). The Debesette twins, Khadidra and Khadisha, accounted for 19 of the goals, while Shantelle Christian handled the bulk of the goalkeeping duties, playing five of the seven games. Trinidad won only one of three games in its previous trip to the CONCACAF finals, 5-1 over El Salvador in 2008. It didn't participate in 2010 due to having an automatic berth in the U-17 Women's World Cup as host.
