Canada defeated England 2-0 and will face the Netherlands for the Cyprus Cup title while the U.S. women completed a first-round sweep at the Algarve Cup on Monday to head to a final against Iceland for an attempt at a fourth crown in five years.

In Nicosia, Cyprus, Christine Sinclair scored just before halftime and Brittany Timko added the insurance in the 55th to give Canada its third win as many games without conceding a goal, finishing atop Group A. It will play the Dutch, which finished third in 2010, on Wednesday for a second straight title and third in four years.

The Netherlands won its third straight with a 6-0 rout of Switzerland on Monday.

In Quarteira, Portugal, Alex Morgan scored a pair of second half goals and Carli Lloyd tallied her second in as many games to lead the United States to a 4-0 win over Finland, which lost its third straight.

The Americans, which also had a goal by Shannon Boxx, have won seven of the 17 Algarve Cup tournaments, all of their titles coming since winning its first in 2000.

It also has finished runner-up four times. The United States, which has outscored its opponents 8-1, will face equally unbeaten Iceland in Wednesday's final at Faro, Porutgal.

Iceland won its third straight at the Algarve Cup on Monday, 1-0 over Denmark.

In the consolation group at the Cyprus Cup, Maribel Dominguez converted a penalty in the 33rd minute and Charlyn Corral and Nancy Gandarilla added goals in the 39th and 85th minutes to lead Mexico over Northern Ireland 3-1.

It was the Mexicans' first victory after two draws in Group C, and will pit them against New Zealand for seventh place on Wednesday.
