MERIDA, Venezuela - Lisbeth Bandres helped Venezuela to a 1-1 draw against Puerto Rico, completing the host's unbeaten run through the CAC Games that claimed the first gold medal in the debut of women's soccer in the regional competition.
Bandres' goal in the 45th minute Sunday was her third in five games and gave Venezuela a 4-1-0 record in the competition.

Trinidad & Tobago claimed the silver medal despite a last-day 1-0 loss to Haiti, which finished tied for third on points but was edged out for the bronze by Guatemala.
Rocio Sosa scored a pair of goals, in the 41st and 90th mintutes, to pace the Guatemalans to a 4-1 victory over Nicaragua, earning it the bronze on goal difference (plus-2) over Haiti (zero).
Venezuela clinched the gold on Friday, getting a third goal in four games by Oriana Altuve to pace a 3-1 victory over Haiti.
