CHICAGO -- United States head coach Jurgen Klinsmann announced on Monday his 24-player roster for the opening match in the final round of CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying for Brazil 2014.

Klinsmann's team gathered in Miami on Monday for a flight to San Pedro Sula, where the Americans will take on host Honduras on Wednesday afternoon.

"We want to have a sense of urgency right from the start of the Final Round," said Klinsmann. "We have a lot of respect for Honduras, but our message to the team is that we are going there to get three points.

"One thing we learned from the Semifinal Round is that you have to bring the right mentality to play in the tough games on the road, and I'm confident we are ready to do that."

The Americans last played in San Pedro Sula four years ago, when they clinched qualification for the 2010 World Cup with a thrilling 3-2 road victory over the Catrachos.

The U.S. roster consists of players from nine different leagues in Europe and North America, including seven from Major League Soccer and three from the Liga MX.

The U.S. and Honduras are part of the six-team Hexagonal along with Costa Rica, Jamaica, Mexico and Panama. Each team will play 10 games in a round-robin format, which will be played February 6-October 10. The top three teams automatically qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil, while the fourth-place team will face the first-place team from the Oceania Football Confederation in a two-leg playoff.
