TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras - Just one day after falling to Costa Rica 1-0 in the final of the UNCAF Copa Centroamericana, Honduras revealed its roster for next week's World Cup qualifier against the United States.

The team selected by head coach Luis Fernando Suarez for the home February 6 encounter differs significantly from the one that just completed the Central American tournament, as the Europe-based players return to the squad.

Suarez called in defender Maynor Figueroa from Wigan in the English Premier League, as well as Emilio Izaguirre from Celtic in Scotland. He also added midfielder Andy Najar, who plays with D.C. United in the USA's Major League Soccer (MLS).

Four other MLS players -- Jerry Bengtson, Mario Martinez, Oscar Boniek Garcia and Victor Bernardez -- were retained from the UNCAF event.

The selection is also comprised of six players from defending national champion Olimpia, including veteran goalkeeper Noel Valladares, who returns from an injury layoff.

The match against the U.S. at the Estadio Olimpico Metropolitano in San Pedro Honduras kicks off the final round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying for each team.
