SANTA CRUZ, Bolivia - Costa Rica surrendered a goal in the first minute of second-half injury time and had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Bolivia in an international friendly on Wednesday.
Carlos Saucedo tallied his fourth goal in a month for Bolivia to equalize after Joel Campbell had given the Ticos the lead in the 72nd minute.
The 20-year-old Campbell, who is in his first season with Real Betis in Spain, scored his first goal in six games for Costa Rica in the 72nd to put the Central American side ahead.
Saucedo's tally was the first goal allowed by Costa Rica in more than three games since a 1-0 loss to Mexico in World Cup qualifying on September 11.
Costa Rica won both previous encounters with Bolivia, a 4-0 victory in the 2001 Copa America, and a 2-0 win last year in the Copa America by its under-23 side.
The Ticos, who will resume World Cup qualifying in February, is next scheduled to face Belize, Nicaragua and Guatemala in the Copa Centroamericana.
