NEW YORK - Guatemala will host the 2011 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship April 3-17 and Jamaica will stage the under-17 finals February 14-27, the confederation announced Wednesday.

This will be the sixth time Guatemala has been the venue for the under-20 finals or one of two final-round groups, the last time in 1998.

"We are very happy to be host of the upcoming CONCACAF U-20 Championship," Guatemala Football Federation President Bryan Jimenez said. "There's no doubt that Guatemala will be a perfect setting for an event of such magnitude."

Specific venues have not been finalized for either tournament, which will be played as 12-team events for the first time since 1996.

The CONCACAF Under-17 Championship will be played in the Montego Bay area, returning to Jamaica for a third time after having last hosted a final-round group in 2007.

"We are very happy to be awarded such a prestigious tournament which will serve to highlight our interest and desire in creating a solid platform for youth football development," Jamaica Football Federation President Horace Burrell said.

CONCACAF will qualify four teams to next year's Under-20 World Cup in Colombia July 29-August 20, and will send four teams plus host Mexico to the Under-17 World Cup June 18-July 10.
