December 1, 1993: Costa Rica's Deportivo Saprissa and Leon of Mexico played to a 2-2 draw in the opening match of the 1993 CONCACAF Champions' Cup final round at the Estadio Mateo Flores in Guatemala City, Guatemala … Oscar Ramirez (25th) and Enrique Diaz (46th) scored for Deportivo Saprissa, while Milton Queiroz answered with two goals (36th, 60th) for Leon … After holding host CSD Municipal to a draw two days later, Deportivo Saprissa concluded tournament play on December 5 with a victory over SV Robinhood of Surinam and claimed its first CONCACAF title.
December 2, 2010: Despite a record six-goal performance from Rohan Reid, Jamaica dropped a 10-8 decision to El Salvador in a 2010 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship Group A encounter at the Unidad Deportiva Municipal Agustin Flores Contreras in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico … Hose Mexico and El Salvador went on to finish first and second in tournament play, respectively, as both teams qualified to the 2011 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Italy.
December 3, 2000: Carlo Servino became the first USA referee (second-ever CONCACAF referee) to officiate the championship match at a FIFA Futsal World Cup, during the 2000 final between Spain - Brazil (won by the Spanish side 4-3) at the Domo in Guatemala City, Guatemala. December 4, 1971: Octavio Muciño scored twice to lead Mexico to a 2-1 triumph over Honduras during the final round of the 1971 CONCACAF Campeonato de Naciones (NORCECA) at King George V Park in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago … The Tricolores captured first-place in the six-team final group with nine points (4-0-1 record) and claimed their second tournament crown (first since 1965). December 5, 1998: After losing the first-leg (1-0) a month earlier, CONCACAF champion D.C. United of USA defeated South America's winner CR Vasco da Gama of Brazil, 2-0, in the return match of the 1998 Interamericana Cup (Copa Interamericana) at Fort Lauderdale's Lockhart Stadium (USA) … Tony Sanneh (34th) and Eddie Pope (77th) scored for D.C. United as they became the first USA club to capture the title. December 6, 2007: A goal by Alberto Quintero (63rd) gave Panama a 1-0 win over host Costa Rica in the second-leg of the Central American Playoff at San José's Estadio Ricardo Saprissa to the 2008 CONCACAF Men's U-23 Olympic Qualifying Tournament … With the aggregate score tied (1-1), the visiting Canaleros emerged victorious 4-3 on penalty kicks for a berth into the CONCACAF final round. December 7, 1973: Guy Saint-Vil (59th) scored the only goal of the match for host Haiti as it defeated Honduras, 1-0, during the final round of the 1973 CONCACAF Campeonato de Naciones (doubled as 1974 FIFA World Cup Qualifier) at Port-au-Prince's Stade Sylvio Cator… Les Bicolor went on to finish atop of the six-team group standings with eight points (4-1-0 record) and qualified for the first time to a FIFA World Cup (West Germany 1974)
