Group Stage continues Wednesday

Arabe Unido grabbed its first three points of the tournament with a 1-0 win at home over Toronto FC on Tuesday. Toronto finished the match with only nine men. The same night Santos scored a 93 minutes goal to defeat the Columbus Crew at home.

Today, Cruz Azul will look to rebound after last week's loss to Toronto FC, taking on Real Salt Lake at home, while Puerto Rico Islanders hosts FAS with both teams seeing their first win. To round out the night, Seattle will host Monterrey.

On Thursday Toluca hosts Olimpia as both teams search look for their first three points while Saprissa hosts Marathon, which defeated Seattle last week. To close out the round Joe Public will travel to Guatemala to face Municipal.

Castillo installed as interim manager of Honduras

Mexican manager Juan de Dios Castillo was installed as the interim coach of Honduras on Wednesday, taking over the team at least through January.

Having previously coached Honduran clubs sides Olimpia, Real Espana, Motagua and Marathon, the 59-year-old Castillo takes over a side that qualified for the World Cup this past June for the first time since 1982, but was eliminated with three losses.

Nicknamed "El Cuate", Castillo will have Reinaldo Clavasquin of Honduras as his assistant along with Francisco Solis and Sergio Pacheco from Mexico.

His first game as manager will be September 4 in Los Angeles against Central American rival El Salvador. The Central American championship is set for January with the CONCACAF Gold Cup scheduled for June 5-25.

Haiti reaches Youth Olympic final

Haiti's under-15 boys' team will face Bolivia on Wednesday for the inaugural title in the Youth Olympics in Singapore. Haiti reached the final of the six-team event by finishing second in its group and defeating host nation Singapore 2-0 in Sunday's semifinals.

Wednesday's game will be a rematch of Bolivia and Haiti's group encounter when the South Americans scored six times in the second half and won 9-0.
