Kickoff times changed for two dates in Under-17 Women's Championship

A schedule conflict with LD Alajuelense's league schedule has forced a change in the kickoff times for weekend games at the Under-17 Women's Championship.

With all games for the second edition of the Women's U-17s set for Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto, the late afternoon and evening starts of games on Saturday, March 13 have been moved to 2 p.m. U.S. Eastern (1 p.m. local) for Mexico vs. Jamaica, and 4:30 p.m. (3:30 p.m. local) for Panama vs. Canada.

Games on Sunday, March 14, originally set for the afternoon, will now be played at 7 p.m. (5 p.m. local) for the Cayman Islands vs. Haiti, and 9:30 p.m. (7:30 p.m. local) for Costa Rica vs. the United States.

Canadian women defeat Poland; Sinclair scores milestone goal

The Canadian women's team defeated Poland 2-0 on Saturday at the Cyprus Cup in its first match of the year.

Veteran Christine Sinclair scored her 100th career goal for the senior team in the 25th minute.

She is only the 10th woman to reach the 100 goal plateau in international soccer. She also passed Canadian women's national team assistant coach Andrea Neill for the most games played for the country with her 133rd appearance.

The course was part of FIFA's Referee Assistance Program (RAP). The course, which was led by FIFA instructors Jesús Rubio (Spain), Carlos del Cid (Guatemala) and Elix Peralta (Panama), featured 35 referees from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Panama, Nicaragua and Mexico.
