WOMEN'S U-17 TEAMS BEGIN PREPARATIONS FOR CONCACAF CHAMPIONSHIP

Teams are beginning their final preparations for the CONCACAF Under-17 Women's Championship, set to open March 10 with a doubleheader featuring the defending champion United States against Haiti, and host Costa Rica against debutante Cayman Islands. Canada, Jamaica, Mexico and Trinidad & Tobago will participate in a four-team tournament between February 28-March 5 at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium in Marabella, Trinidad.

The second CONCACAF championship will be played March 10-20 entirely at Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium - the home of Liga Deportiva Alajuelense - in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

Two teams, along with Under-17 Women's World Cup host Trinidad & Tobago, will qualify for the world championship in September.
