UNITED STATES WINS WOMEN'S U-20s; MEXICO, COSTA RICA ALSO QUALIFY FOR WORLD CUP
The United States beat Mexico 1-0 in the final of the CONCACAF Under-20 Women's Championship on Saturday, winning on forward Sydney Leroux's 87th-minute goal. Leroux, who won the Golden Boot at the 2008 Under-20 Women's World Cup, finished as the tournament's top scorer with six goals in five games.
The United States and Mexico already had qualified for the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, to be played in Germany in July, by reaching the final. On Friday, the United States defeated Costa Rica 2-1 while Mexico upset Canada 1-0 in extra time to reach the title match.
In the third-place match, Costa Rica surprised Canada 1-0 to qualify for the U-20 Women's World Cup for the first time. Canada was the tournament's defending champion.

WARNER VOWS TO HELP REBUILD HAITIAN FOOTBALL
CONCACAF President Jack Warner returned from a visit to earthquake ravaged Haiti Monday, vowing to rebuild the football federation's devastated headquarters and get soccer in the country moving again.
Warner visited the site of the collapsed headquarters, meeting with numerous officials and family members, and hearing tales of survival. Warner proposed moving the federation headquarters to the country's FIFA Goal Project offices in the Port-au-Prince suburb of Croix-des-Boquets, which was opened in 2002.
With FIFA already pledging $250,000 to the quake relief effort, Warner said he will personally embark on a food drive for Haiti while submitting a report to soccer's world governing body on Wednesday.
Other initiatives Warner said that will be introduced include urging member nations of the Caribbean Football Union - which is to meet in Trinidad for its annual congress in late February -- to house Haitian players for six months to a year so that they may continue their training until the federation is able to resume full operations.
