|  WOMEN'S U-20 SEMIFINALS SET FOR THURSDAY
The United States will face Costa Rica while Mexico will meet Canada in the semifinals of the CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship on Thursday.
Canada won Group A, allowing only one goal in its three first-round victories. Costa Rica finished second in the group, recovering from an opening 1-0 loss to Canada to beat Guatemala 3-0 and Cuba 3-1.
The United States also was perfect in the first round, defeating Jamaica 6-0, Trinidad 4-0 and allowing only an injury time goal in a 2-1 victory over Mexico. Mexico clinched its semifinal berth with victories in its first two matches, beating Trinidad 2-1 and Jamaica 2-0. T

 CONCACAF NATIONS PLAY FRIENDLIES
Central American champion Panama lost 2-1 to Chile in an international friendly in Coquimbo, Chile, on Wednesday. Esteban Paredes scored both goals early in the second half for the South Americans while Roberto Brown registered the lone Panamanian goal in the 86th minute. O
n Saturday, Honduras defeated the United States 3-1 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California. Jerry Palacios, Carlos Pavon and Roger Espinoza scored the goals for the Hondurans while Clarence Goodson replied for the Americans. The United States played with 10 men after the 17th minute, when Jimmy Conrad was ejected with his second yellow card. "CHELATO" UCLES INSTALLED AS COACH OF BELIZE
José de la Paz Herrera Ucles, better known as Chelato, has been hired as the new coach of Belize.
The veteran Honduran has coached clubs in his native country as well as in Mexico and Costa Rica. He is most noted for being the long-time coach of the Honduran national team, including having managed the side to its first World Cup appearance in 1982.

 MEXICO WINS CHILEAN BEACH SOCCER TOURNAMENT
Mexico won the Torneo Playa Coquimbo 2010 in Chile on Sunday. beating Chile 6-2 in the tournament's final.
Coached by Ramón Raya, Mexico was undefeated in the tournament, drawing 2-2 with Chile in its first match before defeating Chilean club Iquique 4-2 and Deportes la Serena 8-4.
Mexico's Gustavo Rosales was named the tournament's top player.
