CONCACAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GROUP STAGE CONTINUES

The CONCACAF Champions League Group Stage picks up again on Tuesday (August 25) when the Pachuca takes on Metapán following a surprise loss against Arabe Unido last week in Panama. That same night Saprissa hosts the Puerto Rico Islanders as both sides try and rebound from defeats last week.

On Wednesday D.C. United returns home after a 3-1 loss to Marathon to host Toluca who was victorious against San Juan Jabloteh in its opener. That same night Arabe Unido hosts the Houston Dynamo as both sides look for a second consecutive win. Also, Cruz Azul hosts the Columbus Crew in Mexico City as both sides look to go top of the group following opening wins against Saprissa and the Puerto Rico Islanders, respectively. To round out a busy Wednesday, Marathón hosts San Juan Jabloteh as the Trinidadian club will look to rebound following an opening loss to Toluca.

On Thursday, August 27 W Connection will host Comunicaciones as both sides look to pick up a much needed win. To round out the week, Real Espana hosts Pumas in San Pedro Sula in a match up of the two top teams in Group D.

VENUES SET FOR CFU UNDER-20 WOMEN's TOURNAMENT

Venues, groups and dates have been announced for the Caribbean Football Union's Under-20 Women's tournament to be played in September.

Group A, which contains Jamaica, Turks & Caicos and Dominica, will play its matches at the Winterpark Sports Stadium in Rousseau, Dominica from September 23-27.

Group B, containing St. Lucia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Trinidad & Tobago, will play its matches Vieuxfort Stadium in St. Lucia from September 23-27.

Group C, which begins on September 18 and ends on Septmeber 22, features Antigua and Barbuda, Anguilla, Cuba and will play its matches in the Estadio Pedro Marrero in Cuba.

Group D, which features Barbados, St. Kitts and Nevis and Suriname, will plays its matches at Andre Kamperveen in Suriname from September 23-27.

COSTA RICA AND EL SALVADOR WOMEN TO PLAY FOR UNDER-20 UNCAF CROWN

The Costa Rican and Salvadoran women's Under-20 sides have reached the UNCAF Under-20 final to be played over two legs on August 29 in Costa Rica and a week later in El Salvador.

Costa Rica advanced following a 15-1 aggregate victory over Honduras. Los Ticos captured the second leg 6-1 in Costa Rica. El Salvador tied the return leg against Nicaragua on Sunday (August 23) 0-0 but advanced thanks to a 4-2 victory in the first leg at el Estadio Cuscatlan in San Salvador.

The winner will receive a berth in the CONCACAF Women's Under-20 Qualifying tournament to be played in 2010. Guatemala will receive an automatic berth as the host nation.
