After an unbeaten qualifying campaign, Cuba arrives at CONCACAF Olympic qualifying for only the second time since 1984. Cuba outscored its opponents 14-4 in Caribbean qualifying, led by Heviel Cordovez's five goals. Cuba again is grouped with the host United States for the first round, the only opponent it managed to earn a point off of in the CONCACAF finals four years ago. Cuba will have only an 18-man roster, leaving it at a disadvantage with three games to play in five days.
