Hubert Tromp has dedicated many years to the service of football in our region and around the globe through his work as a referee. Tromp's career began in the 1950s, beginning as a first class referee in Aruba through to becoming a FIFA referee in 1979. In 1991 Mr. Tromp presided over his last game, but since then he has continued to serve football as a referee instructor and inspector as well as in a number of administrative capacities. In 1993 he was the recipient of the FIFA Referee's Special Award, and more recently his lifetime of work was recognized with an award from the Caribbean Football Union.
