A long and distinguished career took Joaquin Soria Terrazas from the Presidency of the amateur sector of the Mexican Football Federation to the Presidency of CONCACAF, and on to many important FIFA posts. At the international level, he was a member of the FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee from 1970 to 1990, the Olympic Organizing Committee from 1964 to 1990, and the FIFA Youth and Junior World Championships Committee. Mr. Soria also served as Vice-President of the Local Organizing Committee for the FIFA World Cups played in Mexico in 1970 and 1986, as well as the 1968 Olympic Games and the 1983 Youth World Cup.
