The USA lost their third consecutive match as they concluded their participation at the 2007 Copa América with a 1:0 loss to Colombia in a Group C encounter at the Estadio Metropolitano in Barquisimeto, Venezuela on Thursday evening.

Jaime Castrillon scored the only goal of the match for Colombia (1-2-0, 3 Points) at the 14th minute in the victory over the USA (0-3-0, 0 Points).

The last time the USA lost three consecutive games was during CONCACAF Final Round Qualification to the 2002 FIFA World Cup as they were beaten by Mexico (1:0, 1 July), Honduras (3:2, 1 September) and Costa Rica (2:0, 5 September) in 2001.

The 2007 Copa América continues for the remaining CONCACAF team Mexico as they will meet Paraguay in the quarterfinals at the Estadio Monumental in Maturín, Venezuela on 8 July.
