Cristiane and Marta Silva scored two goals each, while Daniela Alves added another for samba queens in the victory over the stars & stripes.
This is the second consecutive gold medal (other in 2003) for Brazil at the Pan American Games Women's Football Event, while the USA earn their first medal at the event since taking the gold in 1999.
In an earlier encounter on Thursday, Canada posted a 2:1 triumph over Mexico for the bronze medal. Kristina Kiss and Christine Sinclair scored for the maple leafs, while Teresa Worbis had the only goal for the tricolor.
