After Salvador Cabañas gave the visitors the lead again in the 47th minute, Rodrigo López closed out the scoring for Club América with consecutive goals in the 56th and 57th for the 4:1 final over Pachuca CF.
The second-leg of Series 8 between Club América and Pachuca CF will take place at the Estadio Azteca in Ciudad de México on 3 October.
