In preparation for the FIFA Club World Cup Japan 2007, FIFA held its "Team Media Day" for the CONCACAF qualifier Pachuca CF of Mexico at the Press Conference Room in the Estadio Hidalgo in Pachuca on Wednesday.

The "Team Media Day", which was conducted by the FIFA Media Officer for this event - Steven Torres (CONCACAF Media Officer), consisted of press conference interviews and mixed zone opportunities for officials, head coach and players from the participating club and federation officials to honor Pachuca's qualification for the FIFA Club World Cup 2007.

The press activities on Wednesday had the following in attendance: Decio de Maria, General Secretary of the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol Asociación; From Pachuca CF - Jesus Martinez, President; Enrique Meza, Head Coach; Andres Fassi, Vice-President of Sports; Players: Miguel Angel Calero, Gabriel Caballero & Juan Carlos Cacho.

"For Mexican Football it is an honor that Pachuca will represent our football in this fourth edition of the FIFA Club World Cup," said Decio de Maria, during the press conference. "We feel very happy, very honored and very proud that a club that has achieved so many sporting titles represent Mexican Football, so for that reason the (Mexican) Federation congratulate them and we are confident that they will represent our football with dignity in this event."

Pachuca CF, who captured their second CONCACAF Champions' Cup™ in early 2007 for a place in the FIFA event, will take on African Champion, Etoile Sportive du Sahel of Tunisia in the quarterfinals of the FIFA Club World Cup set for 9 December in Tokyo's National Stadium.
