Salvador Cabañas opened the scoring for Club América in the fifth minute, but Anibal Matellan tied it for Arsenal in the 30th minute.
Club América took the lead again in the 53rd minute with a goal by Alejandro Argüello, but Alejandro Gomez leveled two minutes later for Arsenal and then he went on to score the game-winner in the 65th minute.
The second-leg of the 2007 Copa Nissan Sudamericana Final will take place at the Estadio Juan Domingo Perón in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 5 December.
