After losing the first-leg 3:2 at Mexico City's Azteca Stadium last week, Club América opened the scoring of the return-leg with an own goal by Cristian Díaz in the 21st minute at the Estadio Juan Domingo Perón in Buenos Aires.
Juan Carlos Silva gave Club América a 2:0 lead with a left footed strike and a chance for the championship in the 63rd minute, but Martín Andrizzi scored with six minutes remaining for Arsenal to win their first Copa Nissan Sudamericana.
Club América become the third consecutive Mexican team in history to compete for the Copa Nissan Sudamericana crown after Pachuca CF claimed the title in 2006 and Pumas UNAM lost a thriller on penalties to CA Boca Juniors of Argentina in 2005.
