In preparation for Stage 2 of CONCACAF World Cup Qualification this coming June, Honduras topped visiting Paraguay in an international friendly at Estadio Olímpico in San Pedro Sula on Wednesday.

Second half goals by Amado Guevara and Carlo Costly led to the 2:0 triumph as the Catrachos extend their unbeaten streak to five games.

Meanwhile, Guatemala's first-ever meeting against Argentina they were beaten 5:0 at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California USA. Gonzalo Higuain scored twice, while Ezequiel Lavezzi, Jonathan Maidana and Marco Ruben each added another for the Gauchos in the victory over the Chapines.

Also on Wednesday, several other CONCACAF teams played friendlies in preparation for the World Cup Qualifiers.

Costa Rica's winless streak reached 10 matches as they were held to a 1:1 draw against the host, Jamaica at the National Stadium in Kingston. Victor Nuñez gave the Ticos the lead late in the second half, but Tyrone Marshall notched the equalizer for the Reggae Boyz just before time expired.

Elsewhere, Haiti earned a 1:1 tie on the road against Venezuela at Puerto La Cruz's Estadio José Antonio Anzoátegui. Brunel Fucien opened the scoring for the Bicolores, but Alexander Rondon leveled it for the Vinotinto just before halftime.

Trinidad & Tobago played to a scoreless draw against visiting Guadeloupe at the Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain. The result continue the Soca Warriors' winless streak to eight games.

Rounding out Wednesday's friendlies, the USA battled Mexico to a 2:2 tie at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. Jozy Altidore and Oguchi Onyewu scored for the Stars & Stripes, while the Tricolores answered with two goals from Jonny Magallon.
