SAN JOSE, Costa Rica - CONCACAF President Jack A. Warner praised Costa Rica's Goal Project and the performance of its national teams Tuesday as he completed a three-day trip to the Central American nation.

Warner visited the country as part of his 40-nation Member Association Tour (MAT) meeting local soccer and government officials as part of a fact-finding and listening mission.

He especially praised Costa Rica's Goal Project on the outskirts of the capital of San Jose.

"I have visited over 40 Goal Projects around the world," Warner said. "This is definitely one of the most beautiful facilities that I have seen: a true example of progressive work in our confederation."

Warner's trip included discussions with key government officials regarding their continued support for the Costa Rican Football Federation as well as meeting with FEDEFUTBOL's Executive Committee.

The president also feted Costa Rican federation President Eduardo Li for the performance of Costa Rica's national team, which advanced to the final round of World Cup qualifying as the only team to reach the "hexagonal" unbeaten and untied.
