NEW YORK - The Gold Cup has a new Web site, GoldCup.org, with videos, polls, previews and more.

The first phase of a redesign that next will include the CONCACAF Champions League and then the rest of CONCACAF.com, the new site has several enhanced features including a live console (or match tracker) to follow the games in real time, a new stats section and photo galleries.

GoldCup.org already has new content with a story explaining the origins of the inaugural 1991 tournament and a look at each team heading into the opening kickoff on Friday.

"As we approach the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup, we wanted to provide fans with the best possible exclusive video content and a leading statistics proposition both live and historical from the leading CONCACAF soccer competitions," CONCACAF General Secretary Chuck Blazer said.

Visit regularly to follow your favorite teams and players and keep abreast of tournament developments at GoldCup.org.
