MIAMI - CONCACAF announced Friday the semifinal schedule for the 2012/13 Champions League. The round is contested over two legs and opens on Tuesday, April 2, with the Seattle Sounders (USA) hosting Santos Laguna (MEX), last season's runner-up, at CenturyLink Field.

The LA Galaxy (USA) will open at home on April 3 for the first leg of its series against two-time defending champion Monterrey (MEX), which finished an impressive third at last year's FIFA Club World Cup. Second-leg action starts on Tuesday, April 9, with the return match between Seattle and Santos at the Estadio Corona in Torreon.

CONCACAF Champions League semifinal play concludes the next day, when Monterrey and the LA Galaxy square off in Mexico at the Estadio Tecnologico on Wednesday, April 10.

The semifinal winners will advance to the two-leg final, to be played on April 24 and May 1. The winner of the 2012/13 CONCACAF Champions League will earn a berth to the 2013 FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco.
