ZURICH, Switzerland - Two-time defending CONCACAF Champions League winner Monterrey will face the Asian champion on December 9 in Toyota, Japan, in the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup, according to Monday's draw.

Monterrey will learn its opponent on November 10, the date of the AFC Champions League final, with the winner of its clash set to face European champion Chelsea in the semifinals on December 13 in Yokohama.

"Los Rayados" were beaten on penalties by Japanese champion Kawashiwa Reysol in last year's quarterfinals before defeating ES Tunis in the fifth-place consolation match.

Monday's draw also pitted this year's as-yet-undetermined Japanese champion against Auckland City, the winner of which will take on the African champion. The winner of that quarterfinal will face South American champion Corinthians of Brazil.
