NEW YORK - Jeffrey Solis, who refereed June's United States-Brazil friendly, will officiate the Xelaju-Guadalajara match in the CONCACAF Champions League, Chivas' first match in the confederation club championship in more than five years.
Solis and his all Costa Rican crew including Octavio Jara, Carlos Fernandez and Ricardo Cerdas were one of eight teams announced Thursday by the confederation for the second week of the Champions League.
The 38-year-old Solis is in his second year as a referee in the Champions League, having also worked in last year's Gold Cup and CONCACAF Under-20 Championship.
