For the first time in CONCACAF Champions League history, a Player of the Tournament will be named and CONCACAF is giving you -- the fan -- a say in determining the winner.
Starting on Thursday, April 19, at 12pm ET, and continuing until the 75th minute of the final's second leg, fans will be able to express their opinions by voting online at CONCACAF's official English and Spanish-language Facebook pages. The fans can make their choice from among six of the Champions League's best performers.
Facebook fan voting will count for 50% of the total vote, with media attending the second leg at the Estadio Corona in Torreon, Mexico, on April 25, accounting for the other half.
The player with the largest combined share of the vote will be presented with the CONCACAF Champions League Golden Ball at the closing ceremonies.
