PANAMA CITY, Panama - Panama completed a two-game sweep of visiting Guatemala with a 2-0 win on Sunday behind closed at the Estadio Rommel Fernandez. The series was played in preparation for the UNCAF Copa Centroamericana, which will be contested later this month in Costa Rica.
Reggie Arosemena opened the scoring in the 32nd minute and Blas Perez added the second a minute before the interval for his 27th career international goal.
"The team has come from low to high and these two games against Guatemala we have been good because we've been able to correct some issues that we had observed in previous matches and this is very positive about what's coming," said Panamanian head coach Julio Cesar Dely Valdes.
