SHILLONG, India -- Trinidad & Tobago international Cornell Glen made his debut Tuesday for India’s Shillong Lajong FC in a 3-0 preseason friendly win over Tata Football Academy.

The 31-year-old forward assisted on the game’s opening goal by Jibon Singh in the 32nd minute.

Joining Shillong from the TT Pro League’s North East Stars, Glen is only the player on a current I-League roster to have appeared in a World Cup finals.

“My aim is to score as many goals as possible for the Reds, but the key would be to stay fit and I will be happy if I can help the team in the way forward,” said Glen.  “I am really looking forward to having a great season with the team.”

Glen, who competed for Trinidad as it made a run to the quarterfinals of July’s CONCACAF Gold Cup, appeared in three games at Germany 2006.  He has also played in 16 career World Cup qualifiers, scoring three goals.
