    CONCACAF match officials named for U-17 WC

     ZURICH – FIFA announced Tuesday the list of match officials assigned to work the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup.  The 63 referees and assistant referees will be responsible for overseeing the event’s 52 matches, which will take place in the United Arab Emirates, October 17 – November 8.


    From CONCACAF, the world’s governing body named nine officials, including Mexico’s Marco Rodriguez.  The 39-year-old was the center referee for four World Cup finals matches, two at Germany 2006 and two at South Africa 2010, as well as the 2007 FIFA Club World Cup final between AC Milan and Boca Juniors.
