CONCACAF.com provides an offering of storylines for you to follow during domestic league action this weekend:

    CANADA
Toronto FC (18W-8D-5L, 62 points) still tops the Eastern Conference table in Major League Soccer and has already secured a playoff berth, but it was lost two straight games after embarking on an 11-game unbeaten run.  Can the Reds return to winning ways on Saturday against the sixth-place New York Red Bulls (12-7-11, 43)?

    COSTA RICA
Unbeaten Herediano (8-3-0, 27) holds a five-point lead over second-place Saprissa in the Costa Rican Invierno.  It will be a battle of first vs. last, when the Florenses host Guadalupe on Sunday.

    EL SALVADOR
Similar to Herediano in Costa Rica, Alianza (7-4-0, 25) has yet to lose in the Salvadoran Apertura and also sits atop the table a five-point lead. The team to watch this weekend, however, is second-place Isidro Metapan (6-2-3, 20), which is 4-1-0 in its last five outings.  The Jaguares are slated to visit Dragon (3-2-6, 11) on Sunday.

    HONDURAS
All of a sudden, Marathon (5-1-3, 16) is the hottest side in the Honduran Apertura.  The Monstruo Verde has won three consecutive games to climb into second place.  Next up is sixth-place Vida (2-5-2, 11) on Saturday.

    MEXICO
While Monterrey (7-2-0, 23) remains unbeaten atop the Liga MX Apertura table, fifth-place Leon (5-1-4, 16) is quickly becoming the team to watch.  The Panzas Verdes have secured maximum points in their last three matches, while forward Mauro Boselli tops the scoring chart with eight goals, netting in seven straight outings.

    NICARAGUA
On Wednesday, second-place Walter Ferretti’s six-game winning streak was snapped with a 0-2 loss to Juventus Managua.  Can the Rojinegros get back on track at fifth-place Ocotal (4-4-3, 16) on Sunday?

    PANAMA
It seems that battles on two fronts may have taken somewhat of a toll on first-place Arabe Unido (6-6-0, 24) and second-place Plaza Amador (5-6-1, 21).  In their last eight Panamanian Apertura games combined, the 2017 Scotiabank CONCACAF League semifinalists have one win.  Both return to action Saturday: Plaza hosts last-place Santa Gema (1-4-7, 7), while Arabe visits eighth-place Sporting San Miguelito (2-6-4-12).

    TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
TT Pro League is idle this weekend as Round of 32 games in the FA Trophy take center stage.  On Sunday, North East Stars, which top the domestic table, will visit Pitchmen FC on Sunday at the La Brea Recreation Ground, La Brea

    USA
Atlanta United (15-7-8, 52) has become MLS’s in-form team, possessing the longest-active winning at three games.  It currently sits third in the Eastern Conference table, but will jump to second place with a win Saturday at the New England Revolution (11-5-15, 38) and a New York City FC (16-7-8, 55) loss on the road to the Chicago Fire (15-6-10, 51).
