USA wins 2006 Women’s Gold Cup; Mexico claims playoff berth

26.11.06 - The USA won the 2006 CONCACAF Women’s Gold Cup™ after defeating Canada 2:1 after extra time in the finals held at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California on Sunday evening.
      Leslie Osborne opened the scoring for the stars & stripes in the sixth minute, but Randee Hermus got the equalizer for the maple leafs with 60 seconds remaining in the first half.
