The Legal and Finance Group shall
consist of a Chairman, a Vice Chairman and four Members, each of whom shall be the
Chairman of one of the four specific Committees for:
- Statutes and Regulations
- Appeals
- Finance
The Group shall be responsible for:
- The supervision and review of all matters within these areas of expertise;
- The review and assessment of the legal propriety of actions taken by and within
the Confederation in the areas of its mandate as well as in connection with other
matters which may be brought before it;
And it shall:
- Be available for assignment to CONCACAF Competitions to serve in such capacities
as may be determined.
- Be available for assignment to CONCACAF Competitions to serve as Commissioners or
in any such capacity as may be required.
The Chairman will report to the Executive Committee.
Statutes and Regulations Committee
The Statutes and Regulations Committee shall consist of a Chairman and two Members.
The Committee will be responsible for: Reviewing the Statutes and Regulations of
CONCACAF in order to maintain consistency with those of FIFA and to ensure they
are appropriate to CONCACAF's expanding role in world football; reviewing the statutes
and regulations of affiliates so as to ascertain that the said Statutes and Regulations
are consistent with those of FIFA and the CONCACAF;
Appeals Committee
The Committee will be responsible for judging appeals against those decisions by
the Disciplinary Committee which are not irrevocable according to the CONCACAF regulations,
and its decisions shall be irrevocable and binding on all the parties concerned.
Finance Committee
The Committee will be responsible for: Reviewing the financial administration of
the Confederation; reviewing budgets prepared by the General Secretariat and make
any necessary reports to the Executive Committee; reviewing the Auditors' report.
