The Central American Football Union (UNCAF) also announced the host, dates and participants to determine its qualifiers for the CONCACAF women's Olympic qualifying tournament as well as next year's women's under-20 and women's under-17 championships.

Men's Olympic qualifying will begin with a "triangular" in El Salvador September 13-17 between the host, Panama and Guatemala. Honduras will host Costa Rica and Nicaragua September 21-25.

The group winners will qualify automatically for the CONCACAF finals in the United States next year, while the runners-up will enter into a two-leg playoff October 30 and November 6 to determine the region's third qualifier in the eight-team field.

For the women, Guatemala will host a five-team championship that also will include Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua, September 30-October 8, with the top two teams qualifying for the eight-team CONCACAF finals in the western Canadian city of Vancouver January 19-29.

Honduras also will be the host for one of two triangulars for women's U-20 qualifying. Costa Rica and Guatemala will travel to Honduras August 16-20, while Nicaragua and El Salvador will go to Panama August 24-28 for the other group. The group winners both will qualify for the CONCACAF finals in Trinidad.

With only four entrants, the women's under-17 qualifying will be staged as a series of two-leg playoffs. Panama will play Nicaragua, and Costa Rica will face El Salvador on November 23 and November 27. The winners will play off December 7 and December 11 to determine Central America's lone berth along with CONCACAF finals host Guatemala.
