Club Tijuana will be competing in the SCCL for the second time and first since the 2013/14 edition, when it advanced to the semifinals before falling to Cruz Azul, 2-1 on aggregate, and compiling an overall record of 5W-1D-2L.

After going through physical testing, the squad is expected to start on-field training Tuesday.
