Geovannie Lake scored two goals and St. Kitts and Nevis (1-0-2, 3 points) defeated Curacao (0-0-3, 0 points), 4-2, for its first win of the CONCACAF Under-15 Championship.  St. Kitts took a 2-0 lead into the half thanks to Lake’s brace.  Duane Herman struck two minutes after the interval to give Curacao hope of a comeback, but Yohannes Mitchum restored St. Kitts’ two-goal cushion with a 56th minute tally.  Steven Archibald added an insurance goal two minutes later to make it 4-1.  Naigel Valorian added a consolation goal two minutes into stoppage time for Curacao, which is still looking for its first win.

GOALS:  Walter Rodriguez 26’ pen, Darixon Vuelto 51’

Man of the Match:  Darixon Vuelto (Honduras)

In a top-of-the-table clash, Honduras (3-0-0, 9 points) defeated Guadeloupe (3-0-1, 9 points), 2-0, to move into first place in Group C on goal difference and take a large step to a berth in the semifinals.  The game was closely contested by two teams fully aware of what was at stake.  Guadeloupe entered the encounter in first place and needed at least a draw to maintain a realistic hope of winning the group, especially since Honduras’ final game will be against last-place Curacao on Wednesday.  The Catrachos, though, broke the stalemate in the 26th minute with a successful conversion of a penalty kick by Walter Rodriguez.   Darixon Vuelto, who has emerged as one of the competition’s most outstanding talents, sealed the win with a 51st minute insurance goal.
