GIRONA, Spain - La Liga side Girona has acquired Honduras international Antony Lozano from Barcelona B, signing him to a contract through June 2022.
It will be a fifth stop in Spain for the 24-year-old forward, who has also played with Alcoyano, Valencia CF Mestalla and Tenerife (2015-17: 66 games/20 goals).
"It's a dream come true to be in the Primera Division," Lozano said at a press conference. "I know that I have arrived to a team that has fight and character. For me it is a dream to join a team on the rise."
In 27 games for Honduras, the former Olimpia star has scored seven goals, including two in qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He also netted three goals in six games as the Catrachos finished fourth in the 2016 Olympic Games.
Lozano made 20 league appearances for Barcelona B, scoring four goals.
Girona currently sits 10th in the La Liga table with 7W-7D-7L record.
