MIAMI -- Although Olimpia and Santos de Guapiles have booked spots in next month’s 2017 Scotiabank CONCACAF League (SCL) final, they still have to focus on domestic league duties.

CONCACAF.com looks at the weekend action:

    Semifinal, Second Leg Results

21.09.17 Santos de Guapiles 1, Arabe Unido 0 (agg: 1-0)

    21.09.17 Olimpia 1, Plaza Amador 1 (agg: 8-2)

    OLIMPIA (Honduras)

Next 2017 Honduran Apertura match: Sunday, September 24, home v Marathon

Next 2017 SCL match (Semifinal, Second Leg): Thursday, October 19, home v Santos de Guapiles

After opening the Honduran Apertura with two straight wins, Olimpia (2W-2D-2L, 8 points) is winless in its last four outings and currently occupies 8th place, sitting five points behind first-place Real España.  Next up, on Sunday, is a meeting with seventh-place Real Sociedad (2-3-2, 9).  Olimpia has only three goals in its last four outings and will be without injured forward Carlo Costly, who has six goals in all competitions.

Next 2017 Costa Rican Invierno match: Sunday, September 24, home v Saprissa

Next 2017 SCL match (Semifinal, Second Leg): Thursday, October 19, away v Olimpia

While Santos de Guapiles (3-4-2, 13) has understandably focused on reaching the SCL final, it went winless in four straight Invierono matches, before beating UCR, 2-0, on September 17.  The task to enter the playoff picture gets more difficult on Sunday, when Santos hosts first-place Saprissa (7-1-2, 22).  Santos is 2-1-1 at home this season, but after scoring four goals in each of its first two matches at the Estadio Estadio Ebal Rodríguez Aguilar, it netted only twice in the next two.  In their last meeting on May 14, 2017, Santos earned a 2-1 victory at Saprissa in the Quadrangular.
