President Webb congratulates Mexican U-17 team

On behalf of CONCACAF, I would like to extend my congratulations to the Mexican team on reaching the final of the FIFA Under-17 World Cup and wish them the very best of luck in Friday’s final game against Nigeria.

In defeating the great footballing nations of Italy, Brazil and Argentina in the knockout stage, the Mexican team showed tremendous talent and ability as well as fervent passion for the game.

Mexico’s outstanding results in the United Arab Emirates can be an inspiration to teams of all nations in CONCACAF as they look to achieve similar success in upcoming tournaments.
