President Montagliani set to speak at the 2016 Dubai International Sport Conference

Montagliani will join FIFA President Gianni Infantino in the main session of the event

December 18, 2016 – FIFA Vice President and CONCACAF President, Victor Montagliani, will speak at the eleventh Dubai International Sports Conference and Globe Soccer Gala Awards, which will be held in Dubai on December 27 and 28, 2016. Montagliani will join FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, in the global conference’s main session. This year’s event marks an important moment in the long season of changes within the world of football.

Executives attending the traditional end of year event will have a unique opportunity to hear from key players on the international scene, who are leading the world’s game and its institutions.

As head of CONCACAF, Montagliani continues the Confederation’s transformation by establishing a corporate governance structure aimed at driving the game’s development through accountability and transparency. 

Football remains at the center of Montagliani’s vision in the evolution of CONCACAF. He is focused on the continued growth of key areas, such as: Good governance, successful strategic planning for competitions and commercial partnerships, investment in football development and infrastructure, as well as strong leadership.

With a lifelong commitment to the game, Montagliani has become a leader within the sport. He was elected CONCACAF President and FIFA Vice President, on May 12, 2016 in CONCACAF’s XXXI Ordinary Congress held in Mexico City, Mexico. He also serves as President of the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA).

Through his leadership at the CSA, he has brought efficiency and a corporate style to the organization. An advocate of women’s football, he chaired the National Organizing Committee for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014™ and FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™.
