    Panama kicks off camp for Grenada friendly

    PANAMA CITY, Panama – A week after earning a berth in next year’s FIFA World Cup, Panama opened Tuesday a minicamp in preparation for an international friendly at Grenada on October 24.

    Head coach Hernan Dario Gomez named a 19-man roster comprised exclusively of players from the Liga Panameña de Fútbol, including the Arabe Unido duo midfielder Jose Gonzalez and defender Roberto Chen, each of whom made at least one appearance during CONCACAF qualifying.  They will be joined by six Expreso Azul teammates in the Caribbean

    Panama defeated visiting Costa Rica, 2-1, on October 10, to finish third in the Hexagonal table and book a ticket to Russia.
