    Mexico U20 women go undefeated against Canada

    MEXICO CITY –  After playing to a scoreless draw two days earlier, Mexico defeated Canada 3-0 in a women’s under-20 friendly on Sunday at the Mexican Football Federation’s Centro de Alto Rendimiento (High Performance Center) to complete their two-match series.

    All the goals came in the second half, as Fabiola Ibarra (49'), Luz Duarte (56' pen) and Tanya Samarzich (72') struck for the Mexicans.

    The CONCACAF powers are both preparing for the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, which Canada will host August 5-24 in four cities across the country.
