PANAMA CITY, Panama -- Honduras overcame a one-goal deficit, scoring three times in the final 20 minutes to record a 3-1 Group A win over 10-man Haiti and advancing to the next round of the 2017 CONCACAF Under-17 Championship on Thursday at the Estadio Maracana.

The Hondurans (2W-0D-1L, 6 points) became the third of six teams to reach the classification stage, joining Costa Rica and the United States.

Haiti (0-1-2, 1) was eliminated after contesting the final 23 minutes down a player following defender Jolicoueur Etienne's ejection for a second yellow card.

The Haitians stunned Honduras in the 10th minute with their first goal of the tournament.  After Cristian Madrid fouled Valdo Etienne just outside the left edge of the penalty area, midfielder Obenson Leveille struck a blistering free kick from 20-yards out beyond the reach of diving goalkeeper Carlos Banegas to the far post for a 1-0 lead.

Honduras equalized in the 70th minute, when unmarked Everson Lopez netted from seven yards off Luis Enrique Palma's corner kick past goalkeeper Alan Jerome.

Carlos Mejia snapped a 1-1 deadlock with his fourth goal of the tournament, latching onto a long pass and beating Jerome from 10-yards out.

Palma struck for an insurance goal in the 88th minute off a Gerson Chavez assist.
